Tigers Rifle Remains In Nation's Top-10

Memphis No. 9 in this week's poll.
MURRAY, Ky. – For the third week in a row, the University of Memphis rifle team finds itself ranked among the nation's elite. This week, the Tigers dropped three spots, but remained in the top-10 of the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll at No. 9.
The Tigers began 2015-16 ranked No. 10 in the CRCA preseason poll released Sept. 16 and climbed to the No. 8 spot in the first regular-season poll that was announced Oct. 6. Memphis was No. 6 in the Oct. 13 poll.
On Sunday, Memphis posted a 4656-4642 win over Army.
ll nine Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) programs are ranked in this week's poll with three-time defending NCAA champion West Virginia remaining at No. 1, followed by No. 3 Kentucky, No. 8 Nebraska, No. 9 Memphis, No. 10 N.C. State, No. 11 Army, No. 13 Ole Miss, No. 14 Navy and No. 16 Akron.
Memphis returns to action Saturday, Oct. 24 when it meets No. 8 Nebraska in a neutral-site match in Fort Worth, Texas. Match time is 8 a.m. (CT).
