Oct 19, 2015 | Men's Golf
Tournament resumes Tuesday in Kennesaw, Ga.
Memphis' Lars van Meijel leads the field at five-under par and the Tigers will begin play with a three-stroke lead over host Kennesaw State when the tournament resumes Tuesday at the Pinetree Intercollegiate in Kennesaw, Ga.
Players from five groups were unable to conclude their round due to darkness Monday evening. Those players will complete their second round beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday before starting third-round play immediately following.
The tournament will not be reseeded before Tuesday's third round. However, Memphis and Kennesaw State were paired together for the start of the tournament and have distanced themselves from the rest of the field.
Memphis shot an opening-round 286 and had a 12-stroke lead after the first round of play, but Kennesaw State is currently 13-under par for its second round and will begin Tuesday's play within striking distance of the Tigers.
Individually, van Meijel has two holes to play in Round Two, but prior to the tournament being called Monday by darkness had just carded an eagle on No. 16 to gain a one-stroke lead over the field.
Jacksonville State's Camilo Aguado is in the clubhouse with a two-round 140 (-4).
Memphis' Thomas Perrot and Sydney Chung will begin Tuesday's play as part of a tie for fourth.
