NASHVILLE, Tenn.- University of Memphis freshman forward Hector Cantele scored his third and fourth goals this season to lead the Tigers to a 3-0 win over the Belmont Bruins in their final game of the Hyatt Place Select Lipscomb Invitational in Nashville on Sunday.

The win improved the UofM to 4-2-1 overall.

Raul Gonzalez, Hector Cantele and Cody Uzcategui were named to the All-Tournament Team Sunday afternoon.

Within the first five minutes, Benji Ciosanski crossed the ball to the left side of the box and Cantele headed the ball inside the left post, which lead to the Tigers first goal.

Cantele's second goal came in the 27th minute when Danny Lane passed the ball to him for a 25 yard shot into the left side of the net.

The Tigers continued to pepper shots at the Bruins coming out of intermission. Three minutes into the second half, Raul Gonzalez assisted Fakhry Khulfan with the third goal for the Tigers. Gonzalez passed Khulfan the ball from the top of the box and Khulfan was able to get a shot on goal.

The Belmont offense found its development arrested by the stout backline of the Tigers. This becomes their fourth shutout of the season. Cody Uzcategui recorded three saves while Jake Leeker recorded two in his first appearance for the UofM this season.

The Tigers close out the invitational 1-1. Memphis now holds a 13-1-0 lead over Belmont in the all-time series.

The blue and gray outshot the Bruins 20-11.

Memphis returns to action Saturday, Sept. 27, when they travel to Orlando to open conference play against UCF.
