Redshirt Sophomore Guard Mooriah Rowser
Mi>On her three pointers at the beginning of the game
"That felt good. That was one of my main focuses over the summer, my three-point shot. To extend my range and extend the game so it will be easier to penetrate and get my two-point shot, which I actually like better. I came out hot, and it felt good. It was good for the team."
On if the three-pointer will be a big part of the team
"Oh yeah definitely. Coach emphasizes threes and layups, so on offense we look to drive and kick out for threes or drive and kick out to the post for layups. That's one of our main focuses on the offense."
On Asianna Fuqua-Bey grabbing a double-double
"That's probably normal for Asia, honestly. She's an excellent rebounder and an excellent scorer. It's a good thing. It's always good to have double digits in rebounding. We're pretty small compared to some of the conference teams, so it's always good to rebound the ball."
On thoughts heading into the opener
"We, of course, have some adjustments to make defensively; offensively as well, execution-wise. But I think we're in a good place. The freshmen are stepping up to the roles they need to step up into, and I think the upperclassman can lead them in that direction."
