Memphis Postgame Notes
* Memphis trotted out its 15th different starting line-up (W. Barton, A. Barton, Carmouche, Crawford and Black), tying the Tigers with Pepperdine and Georgia State for most in the country.
* The Tigers move to 25-12 all-time against Houston. The Cougars haven¡¦t beaten Memphis in Memphis since a 76-73 win on Feb. 16, 2002 at the Pyramid.
* The win was head coach Josh Pastner¡¦s 45th at the University of Memphis, putting him one behind Larry Finch for second-most in a coach¡¦s first two seasons at the U of M. He was third-fastest to 45 wins in school history, behind Bob Vanatta (58 games) and Wayne Yates (61 games); tonight¡¦s contest was Pastner¡¦s 62nd as head coach.
* Junior Wesley Witherspoon came off the bench to score 13 points in 24 minutes, his first double-digit scoring effort since Jan. 12 at SMU. Witherspoon also grabbed his 300th career rebound.
* 58 Club: Houston tied with four other schools (UAB, Gonzaga, East Carolina) for second-lowest scoring output against the Tigers this season with 58 points. Memphis is 4-0 in those contests.
* Early Win: Memphis is 11-0 this season when controlling the opening tip.
* Junior Charles Carmouche had his 10th double-digit scoring game this season, finishing with 12 points. He also grabbed a season-high eight rebounds and made his 200th career bucket.
* Freshman Antonio Barton had the 10th double-figure scoring performance of his career, finishing with 10 points.
* Paint Domination: As a team, Memphis has now scored 1,000 points in the paint this season.
* Freshman Tarik Black led the Tigers with 16 points and recorded his 50th career blocked shot.
