* Memphis has also now won seven straight in Hattiesburg, Miss.
* Coach Josh Pastner trotted out his 12th different starting line-up this season (A. Barton, Barham, Jackson, Black and Carmouche); that is the second-highest total in Division I, one behind Pepperdine.
* The Tiger bench contributed 37 points, led by freshman Will Barton with 15 points. The Tigers are now 9-3 when they get more than 30 points worth of production from the bench.
* The Tigers overcame an 11-point halftime deficit, the largest deficit erased this season.
* Barton's 15 points were a team high, and the 10th double-digit scoring game of his career. Freshman Joe Jackson also had his 10th career double-digit night, finishing with 11 points.
* Freshman Chris Crawford broke out his slump with 12 points in 26 minutes off the bench.
* The Tigers were hot from downtown, shooting a season-high 52.9 percent (9-for-17) from beyond the arc. Will Barton lead the way with three three-point baskets.
* The Tigers shot a season-low eight free throws.
* Memphis snatched a season-low 30 boards, but held Southern Miss just 32. The Golden Eagles entered play with an average rebounding differential of 8.1, highest in the conference and 12th-highest in the nation, but were just two better than the Tigers, who were led by freshman Tarik Black's eight rebounds.
* The Tigers are now 12-1 when scoring 70 points or more.
* The Tigers, the C-USA leaders in steals per game heading into this contest, manufactured just one theft in the first half and six for the game.
