Tigers Fall At Home To Arkansas

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -Charity Ford scored 15 points, Dominque Washington added 12 and Lauren Ervin grabbed 11 rebounds to lead No. 24 Arkansas to a 70-54 victory over Memphis on Monday night.
Arkansas (12-1) won its fifth straight and improved to 6-0 on the road. The Razorbacks' only loss this season came last month to second-ranked North Carolina in Hawaii.
Devin Necaise scored 14 to lead Memphis (3-9). Reserve Hope Adams had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Ranked in the Top 25 for the first time in four years, the Razorbacks struggled in the first half against Memphis. Arkansas shot 34.4 percent and led 34-26 at the break.
Memphis missed 10 of its first 11 shots and committed turnovers on five of its first six possessions, but scrambled to tie the game 14-all with 8 minutes left in the first half.
After the break, Arkansas shot 46.2 percent and broke away from the Tigers by going on an early 12-3 run for a 51-34 advantage.
Memphis shot 29 percent in the second half and 25 percent for the game. The Tigers were 17-of-68 from the field and 4-of-22 from 3-point range.
Arkansas point guard Brittney Vaughn, who entered the game averaging 12 assists during the past six games, was held to two assists and played only 10 minutes.
