MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Sean Banks had 24 points and Rodney Carney added 21 Wednesday night as Memphis dominated Tennessee-Martin in the second half for an 84-64 victory.
Banks, who entered the game averaging 12.3 points, connected on seven of 13 shots from the field, including six of nine from 3-point range, as Memphis (3-1) held a double-digit lead throughout the second half.
Carney also had nine rebounds, while Banks grabbed eight boards.
The Skyhawks (2-4) led early, but trailed by 10 at the break and never got any closer after the half.
Ivan Lopez added 10 for Memphis, which won its third straight.
Cleve Woodfork led the Skyhawks with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Tyler George scored 10 points and had eight assists.
Tennessee-Martin was hindered not only by a 40 percent shooting night but 20 turnovers, including 12 in the second half as Memphis built the lead to as many as 21.
Memphis led 37-27 at the half after an 11-0 run erased a 24-23 Skyhawks lead.
Tennessee-Martin held an early advantage before going five minutes without scoring as Memphis built a seven-point lead. Tennessee-Martin would regain lead before the Tigers' spurt late in the half.
Banks had 10 points in the first half for the Tigers.
With a 12-7 run, Memphis built the lead to 15 before the first media timeout of the second half. Tennessee-Martin would cut the lead to 10 at one point with about 14 minutes left, but never threatened the rest of the way.
