MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Dajuan Wagner scored 25 points to lead five Memphis players in double figures Saturday night as the Tigers defeated Austin Peay 109-68.
The victory marked the third straight for the Tigers (9-3), who controlled the game after building a 53-34 halftime lead. Memphis has now won six of its last seven.
Memphis shot 60.6 percent from the field for the game, while holding Austin Peay (5-8) to 32.4 percent. Memphis also controlled the boards 51-28.

Reserve Anthony Rice had 16 on 6-of-8 shooting, while Kelly Wise added 15, including 13 in the first half. Earl Barron added 14, while Scooter McFadgon scored 10.
Nick Stapleton led Austin Peay with 25, while Adrian Henning scored 12, and Anthony Davis added 11, although, he was 4-of-20 from the floor.
Davis's shooting and Stapleton's 8-of-19 represented the Governors' shooting woes as the Memphis defense pushed Austin Peay outside its range.

Memphis built the lead to 20 with less than two minutes gone in the second half, and the Governors got it under 20 only three more times.
Even after Memphis inserted their reserves, the hot shooting continued with the subs connecting on 3-pointers en route to a lead that got as high as 44 when Nathaniel Root (nine points all on 3-pointers), hit a shot with 5:21 to play.
In the second half, Memphis was 22-of-31 from the floor for 71 percent, including 6-of-10 from long range.
