Memphis Defeats UAB In Overtime, 76-73

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Kelly Wise scored 18 points as Memphis came from behind to defeat UAB 76-73 in overtime Saturday night.
Shyrone Chatman scored 7 of his 9 points in the overtime period for Memphis (12-8, 6-1 Conference USA).
UAB (10-9, 3-4) trailed 33-26 at halftime, but outscored Memphis 17-2 over one stretch in the second half to take a 51-43 lead with 10:12 to play. The Tigers tied the game with 13 seconds left in regulation on a layup by Scooter McFadgon.
Memphis led by as much as 9 points in the overtime period. The Blazers cut the lead to three and had a chance to time the game, but LeAndrew Bass missed a running 3-point attempt as time expired.
McFadgon had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers.
The Blazers were led by guard Bass with 21 points and 7 assists. Will Campbell added 15 and P.J. Arnold had 13. Forward David Walker had 14 rebounds for the Blazers.
