Springfield, Mo. - The Memphis men's soccer team dropped its first game of the season to the Leathernecks of Western Illinois in the Southwest Missouri State Invitational. Memphis fell down 1-0 in the 30th minute, and went in to the half only down by one. The Tigers were unable to spark any offense in the second half, while giving up two more to the Leathernecks in the 54th and 66th minutes, respectively.

The loss brings Memphis's record to 2-1 on the season, and they play their final game of the Southwest Missouri State Invitational against New Mexico on Sunday afternoon.
