ST. LOUIS (AP) - Justin Love scored 23 points as Saint Louis snapped a three-game losing streak by beating Memphis 75-67 Saturday in the Conference USA.
Chris Heinrich added 13 points and eight rebounds for Saint Louis (8-6 overall, 1-2 Conference USA). Kelly Wise led the Tigers (7-8, 0-2) with 19 points and eight rebounds.
The Billikens trailed 35-34 at halftime, but outscored the Tigers 16-3 during the last 6:24 of the half to seize the momentum. Love gave Saint Louis the lead with a 3-pointer just 12 seconds into the second half, and Memphis never led again.
Midway through the second half, Love scored from inside to start an 11-0 run as Saint Louis pulled out to a 61-49 advantage with 8:02 left.
Led by Wise, who had 15 first-half points, Memphis jumped out to a 32-18 lead after the first 13:36. But the Tigers only scored once more the rest of the half, on a conventional three-point play by Wise with 2:09 left.
Meanwhile, Love began to heat up for Saint Louis, scoring 10 of his 12 first-half points in the final 5:07. That included an off-balance, 25-footer at the buzzer that cut Memphis' lead to one.
